Taken this morning (12 December) after a night of rain, thunder, & lightning!

Christmas Greetings (11 December 2009)

Sri Lanka seems a long way past (really only two weeks) & we're already making last-minute plans for our trip to Germany (21st December) to spend Christmas with relatives in Kaufbeuren. After that (27th December) we fly to England where Roger's brother, Graham, will be married to Dawn on 30th December. Then we'll spend New Year's Eve in Trafalgar Square with Jill before returning Qatar on the 1st January. Not sure when we'll get our Sri Lanka blog up but just to send Christmas Greetings to everyone, here is a small (& rather grainy) video clip of the Colombo Police Brass Band playing "Little Drummer Boy" outside the Cinnamon Grand Hotel. In their repertoire were also "Once in Royal David's City" & the "Hallelujah" chorus from Handel's "Messiah". Happy Christmas everyone & a wonderful 2010.
